Report from Uniform Hub
Uniform Hub remains fairly much the same. We continue
to receive lots of donations. We don’t turn any away but
occasionally have to sort out and donate to the charity shops
who obviously have a bigger reach than we do.
If you visit us on a Friday morning you will inevitably find us
talking, sorting, sewing, or folding. We put the world to rights
and provide a place for people to meet and share and get the
help they need without fear of judgement, we hope. Sue Neil
keeps us in the wider picture regarding other similar groups in
town and hopefully we are not isolated and aloof from other
people and places offering help with clothing and school
supplies.
School contacts are still working well and once again we hope
to open for a week in the summer and will be contacting schools
about this nearer the time.
Jacob now joins us to help out sometimes and if anyone else
wants to come and fold shirts or clean shoes don’t hesitate.

Pastoral Carers
We have eight Pastoral Carers. There is always areas of concern
and confidentiality is paramount. Thirteen of our adherents are
regular every week with their children. We have two new families
worshiping with us Joyce and Charles with their ten-month-old
twins, and Elizabeth her husband with their daughter Elanoar (I
believe) If they continue to worship with us, I will put them under
adherents in a few weeks.
We continue to maintain contact with those under our pastoral
care. We do have many that are happy to chat on a Sunday, or
meet during the week for a coffee etc. Our members, fifty-nine
and adherents twenty-two. Five have gone from membership to
adherents, four we haven’t seen for over five years. Robert will
need to write or visit the four concerned as it states in CPD.
Elizabeth asked me about a creche the first week they came.
I took her out to JC Club, Christine and Ethelyn were leading,
they were very welcoming, I’m sure it wasn’t a problem. We
are back on track with the number of PC after Christine and
Eileen moved away. We give flowers or a voucher when special
occasions occur, plus cards. We’re hoping to have a prayer area
set up where the organ is, for any requesting prayer before or
after worship or during the week when someone is available.
Pastoral care is a valuable part of our church’s ministry. I thank
all of our PC for their dedication to this work.

Stewards Report
We are a happy bunch (as Margaret put it). There’s four of
us which is fine we don’t feel overloaded. After the church
has got ready for worship, we do spend time chatting with
the congregation and welcoming people. Not forgetting the
preacher making sure he or she has everything they need.
Since introducing the prayer book that is taken up each week
during the service and given to the person who is leading the
prayers. Its now began to work better with people being made
aware of the book which is on a shelf to the left as you enter the
church. The four of us hopefully get most things right each week.
If you think or have any suggestions that would work better,
please speak to Margaret or myself.

Worship Planning
The worship planning group meet regularly to share ideas for
worship and those preachers who will be leading worship at
Sittingbourne, especially if they haven’t been to the church
before. We are still fortunate to have our musicians play on
Sundays. When the musicians are not available, video and iSing
worship tracks are available (currently not available for any
new songs).
From the technical side all of this is put together by Tony and
delivered by him and two other faithful members controlling
sound and vision. We do miss Rebekha Zacharova on the team
currently she works in South Korea. Prayers continue for her work
with young people.

Wednesday Morning Worship
The Wednesday Morning Worship has been growing in numbers
over the last 6 months averaging 8 - 10 regular members now.
The session is an hour long including Worship Music, Bible
Readings and Prayers. The aim of the group is that as we pray,
praise and worship it strengthens our spiritual connection with
God, shows our gratitude for His words and develop a more
intimate and humble act of adoration (as Psalm 22:3 (KJV) tells
us God inhabits the praises of His people). I pray that those who
attend have found it uplifting and peaceful. We are hoping more
people will join us from the Church and also the community.

Church Security
It is important that from time to time we need to check that all the
keys issued to both church members and authorised hirers agree
with the records we hold. Also, it is essential from time to time
that the combination lock code used on the rear entrance door
needs changing, as it is possible that some unauthorised persons
may have this information.
It is proposed that we have a key audit on the following dates this
could be on Friday 17th April and Saturday 18th from 10am till
3.00pm, if these dates are not suitable others can be arranged.
