Prayer Book
A prayer book is available on the shelf by the inner entrance
doors to the church. You are welcome to add details of people
or concerns that need our prayers.
The book will be brought forward for the intercession prayers each week.
Prayer s of intercession
BE THOU MY VISION.
Father God we pray that you will always be the
first and the last in our thoughts. We pray that Day
and Night, Sleeping and waking the light of your
presence will always be with us.
BE THOU MY COMFORT AND PROVIDER.
Father God we realise there are so many who are
starving, homeless, staring poverty in the face, not
only in this Country but all over the World. There is a
saying “ The Lord helps those who help themselves.”
BE THOU MY WISDOM.
Father help us to be wise in what we say and do.
Help us to think before we speak. In every situation
may we always ask ourselves before we act, “What
would Our Lord Jesus do at this moment” Help us
to rely on the wise leading of the Holy Spirit.
We pray Father that those who can, will find Work
to help provide for their Families. We pray they will
seek far and wide to find some way of making their
lives better, that you will give them the strength and
the courage to persevere in all that they do. We also
realise that some are unable to do this and that is
when Brothers and Sisters in Christ come together
to meet their needs. May we be the first to do all
we can in Your name.
BE THOU MY BREASTPLATE.
Father God help us to be strong knowing that you
are our Soul’s Shelter and our Strong Tower. May the
power of the Holy Spirit give us the courage to tell
others of your true love, to pray and serve in your
name.
BE THOU MY TRUE RICHES.
Father we are so blessed with the wonders and
beauty of your Creation. We thank you for our
many Friends who support us through the good
times and the bad. Help us to realize the wonderful
inheritance we have when we really know you as our
Great and Mighty Father.
Give us a joy and a fire in our hearts and souls
to enable us to serve you and to serve everyone
we meet who needs something of your love and
compassion, to help them on their way.
Father we pray these prayers in the knowledge that
your love and sacrifice for us is never ending.
We pray in your Son’s name Jesus Christ.
Amen. So be it.
Ever loving Father God,
we give you thanks for our
Church family.
Prayer
If you would like some time of prayer before
or after the service one of our prayer team are
available to help in anyway they can.
Prayer is the fundamental part of our
Christian faith.
Grant that we become a vibrant,
spirit filled Christ centred Church,
which is faithful to scripture rooted
in prayer and where all age groups are
represented, as we give glory
to you our God, in our
worship and in our lives.
